Old house now a new State Farm office

Lifelong Oxford resident Jamie Felix said he is dedicated to the community.
Anyone doubting his claim can look no further than his recently completed project restoring an old house at 95 Indianwood Road, and turning it into his new State Farm Insurance office.
On his birthday, July 7, Felix officially moved to the Indianwood location, from his previous office on Lapeer Road, just south of Clarkston Road.
Felix has been with State Farm since 1994, and worked out of the old office for almost five years.
He said the new office was purchased in December of 2004, with construction starting in January of 2006.
‘The original structure was built in the 1950s, and didn’t conform to current regulations,? Felix said. ‘We worked with the township to get the variances we needed.?
The new location is 1,750 square feet, plus storage area.
‘I think my customers appreciate it more,? Felix said, noting that his office offers more than just insurance.
‘We try to make it as close to one-stop shopping for people as possible,? he said.
‘No matter who they’re with, I’m glad to sit down and make sure everything is covered properly,? Felix said.
Felix said his new neighbors, Dr. Robert Deck, Alex Roberts and Gene Shaw, were all extremely helpful throughout the moving process.
