Dragons will return to playoffs

They haven’t even played their homecoming game yet, but Lake Orion High School has already done enough to qualify for the state playoffs.
But that doesn’t mean they are done with their business in the OAA I, not with Farmington Hills Harrison coming to town this Friday night.
As they have done all year, the Dragons got out to a big early lead at Birmingham Groves on Sept. 29.
Aaron Allen had three first quarter scores for LO, on runs of seven-yards and two-yards, and on a 26-yard connection with quarterback Chris Lum.
Lum added short touchdown passes to David Wurst and Cole Moore in the second quarter, to put the Dragons up 35-0 at the break.
Lum completed just six passes on the night for 112 yards, but three of those completions went the distance.
Jeff Chattaway added the final LO score in the fourth quarter on a pass from Mike Musary, the junior back-up quarterback’s first TD pass of the season.
The Dragons improved to 6-0 with the win, and 5-0 in league play. But Harrison, at 5-1 overall is right on their heels and will need a win at Dragon Stadium on homecoming night to stay in the league title race.
Kickoff is set for 6:55 p.m., but there will be plenty of festivities going on all evening at LOHS, so spectators are encouraged to arrive early.
