Wolves tennis finds singles success at OAA’s

The Clarkston Wolves girls tennis team traveled to the Oakland Activities Association league playoffs on Oct. 7 at North Farmington High School.
The team placed fifth in the daylong competition after coming into the tournament third in the OAA standings. The Wolves slid to fifth overall in the standings after the tournament.
‘Our team made a valiant effort and played good. Unfortunately, other tennis powerhouses played better today,? said Clarkston Coach Craig Judd.
Clarkston faired well in singles play, as both Darylann Trout (16-2) and Nicole Janek (19-1) won their matches without yielding a single set to their competition.
‘I’m happy for both of them as they work extremely hard at improving tennis game,? Judd said.
‘The results showed up today in their wins.?
The Wolves move onto the state regional playoffs on Oct. 12 at Rochester High School.
