Ladies night raises money for Relay for Life

Sounds of ladies laughing and having fun were abundant at the Ladies Night Out last Friday. The event, sponsored by Hank’s Fly Fishing and held at the Guinn Industrial Center on Clarkston Road, raised funds to benefit The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, held in Lake Orion on May 19 and 20.
The night featured games, shopping, dinner, door prizes and even belly dancing lessons with Dance for Fun. Participants were able to browse vendors from Tastefully Simple, Cookie Lee, Pampered Chef and multiple others, and vendors donated a portion of their proceeds back to the Relay.
The event cost $10 to attend, which included a dinner catered by Casey’s Chicken. Through the cost of tickets and vendor donations, the event has raised around $3,000 which will go directly to the Lake Orion Relay for Life.
