Goodrich- Athletic Director Al Martus says he’s doing just fine, but admits he’s had a rough week.
Martus, 62 was admitted to Genesys Regional Medical Center on April 23 and was later diagnosed as having had a heart attack. He underwent surgery, receiving three stents.
After being released on April 30, Martus found himself back in the hospital that same evening with fluid on his lungs.
On May 2, Martus told The Citizen he was doing well and was anticipating his return to work in the district he’s been a part of for 21 years.
‘I’ll come back whenever the heart doctor says I can,? said Martus. ‘I’m ready to come back today, I feel really great.?
