The dog of Village Manager JoAnn Van Tassel has been missing since early last week and a $500 reward is now being offered for information leading to his return, with no questions asked.
Shadow is an 11-year-old black lab-mix with some greying around a slim muzzle.
He ran off toward the Bald Mountain Recreation area after being startled by some fireworks.
Making matters worse is the fact that Shadow is taking medication for a recent raccoon wound on his head.
He was featured a couple years back in the artwork of Orion’s Kimberly Kelly Santini (see inset), who called Shadow ‘one of the sweetest old dogs I’ve yet to meet.?
He was wearing a red nylon collar with his name and phone number stitched into it at the time of his diappearance.
