Like music? Head to the porch this August

The Fifth Annual ‘Music on the Porch? series brings live music to the banks of Paint Creek. Each Monday in August at 7 p.m., the Orion Art Center hosts a different genre of music.
Bring blankets and lawn chairs for your listening comfort. The concerts are free to the public. Here is a look at the upcoming schedule:
Aug. 6 – Acoustic singer/songwriters Guy Harrison and Andrew Kuchon provide a variety of catchy original tunes that are sure to please.
Aug. 13 – The Healing Power of the Arts Opening Festivities help celebrate the OAC’s second annual exhibit with live music, hands on activities, artist comments, line drawing analysis, great art and more.
Aug. 20 – Jazz Folk Fusion is presented by Reggie and the Rick Matle Trio. An evening of world music, folk, jazz, soft rock and more. Don’t miss it.
Aug. 27 – Wrap-up summer with Albert Young and the Straight Eight Band, a high energy blues band featuring Roots Rock, Americana, Country and folk. Sponsored by Tom Traurig and the Village Trophy Shop.
