Several Lake Orion actors play prominent roles in the Summer Theatre Conservatory’s upcoming production of ‘The Wiz.? The play will show at Meadowbrook Theatre on Thurdsay and Friday of this week.
As performed by the students of the STC, now in its seventh year of high energy theatrical training for children and youth, this ‘Wiz? is an upbeat, contemporary romp loosely based on ‘The Wizard of Oz.?
Produced in part by the Rochester Hills Dance and Arts Society, the over 75 actor/singer/dancers range in age from 6-18, and have been rehearsing since June.
Leading the cast from and to Kansas is Lindsey Scullen (Rochester) as Dorothy.
Helping her along the way and finding their brains, heart and courage respectively is Charlie Fournier (Lake Orion) as Scarecrow, Kyle Goodall (Lake Orion) as Tinman and Zach English (Troy) as Lion.
The energetic cast also includes Michelle Meredith (Lake Orion) as Evillene, Bad Witch of the West.
