Music wraps up in the meadows

Oakland Township Parks & Recreation is pleased to announce the third and final concert of the summer in their free ‘Music in the Meadows? series.
The meadows and woodlands of Bear Creek Nature Park are the setting for this jazz concert featuring the Jeff Haas Quartet and the Sheila Landis Trio.
The Sheila Landis Trio will open the concert at 7 p.m. Landis, performing with Rick Matle and Dennis Sheridan, has been performing her unique style of jazz Latin and blues since 1973 and was chosen as ‘Outstanding Jazz Vocalist? by The Detroit Music Awards.
Pianist/composer/bandleader Jeff Hass grew up in a Detroit home rich with Judaic and classical music. He has written over 100 compositions and has performed with trumpet legend Marcus Belgrave and saxophone master George Benson, who will play with him on the 17th.
Concert-goers can arrive early to set-up their blankets and folding chairs and enjoy an evening picnic. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted; snacks and cold beverages will be available for purchase.
