Last Saturday was marked with sun, warm weather and, in downtown Lake Orion, lots of dogs.
More than a 100 dogs, of all sizes, colors and types, showed up for the annual Dog Days, hosted by downtown Lake Orion.
A blessing of the dogs was held, as well as a parade that dogs and their owners participated in.
Dogs and owners also teamed up to compete in the ‘most looks like my owner? contest, as well as best costume, smallest/biggest dog, best trick and more.
A new doggie mayor, Jack Turnbull, was elected to a one-year term, and will serve in many downtown Lake Orion events.
