LO Allstate agent honored again for volunteer work

For the third consecutive year, Lew LaPaugh received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for his commitment to volunteering in the community.
With the award comes a $500 grant from The Allstate Foundation for the Oxford-Orion Kiwanis Club, where LaPaugh volunteers.
The club raises money to help children, youth groups and their families in the Oxford-Orion communities, conducting service projects to respond to community needs.
‘Any time a corporation gets money on the local level, that’s a good thing,? LaPaugh said.
‘It helps our Kiwanis Club and we’re able to take that money and help families.?
LaPaugh has been volunteering with the club since 1998 and currently serves as vice president, board member and scholarship committee chair.
In addition to the Hands in the Community Awards, LaPaugh was awarded Kiwanian of the Year five years ago.
‘The grant from the foundation will provide much needed support for the work of Oxford-Orion Kiwanis Club,? said Tom Clarkson, field vice president for Allstate’s North Central Region.
