Students at Webber Elementary were on the run last month as they had their annual Fun Run.
According to Webber Principal Sarah Manzo, as long as the funds raised reach the goal, it is the only fundraiser Webber does for the year.
At this year’s Fun Run, every Webber student, 493 of them, participated in the event by taking pledges and then running laps for 15 minutes.
According to Manzo, this year students raised around $15,000 to support their school while running and having fun.
To inspire students, Manzo said that there were contests in each grade level for things such as most spirited class, most envelopes turned in and most donations collected.
Many parents as well as a very special visitor, ‘The Dragon,? were on hand to cheer on the students as they made their laps.
‘A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the Webber Fun Run,? Manzo said to parents, students and the PTO.
