All the buzz about Sugarbuzz and their ‘sweet? parties

Whether your child has secret dreams of being a princess, a disco diva, a pirate or a superhero, Sugarbuzz and their ‘sweet parties for kids? has you covered.
‘We offer private, all-inclusive chilren’s parties,? said co-owner Leslie Pender, who owns and operates the business with her mother, Mary Bonnell, and sister, Wendy Jaent.
A parties take place in a private room, planned by a professional party coordinator, with formal table settings with linen, china, silverware and center pieces with balloons.
There are a variety of themes, such as princess, diva/rock star, garden tea party, pirate, cowboy, carnival and superhero (which includes an appearance by Spiderman), that work for both boys and girls.
The deluxe parties run for two hours, with each child receiving themed accessories and a goodie bag with toys and candy.
The parties include a choice of meal, such as pizza or sandwiches, a Sugarbuzz signature cake, a game with prizes for everyone and a craft to take home.
‘Buzz (the pink elephant) also comes out and dances,? Pender said, noting that the parties also include a half hour of disco and karaoke in the special ‘Disco Ballroom.?
Pender added that she recommends parents stop by and take a tour of the facilities before planning their next child’s party.
Sugarbuzz is a one-of-a-kind establishment, having been the brainchild of the three women. According to Pender, her sister has little ones and her mother worked at Meadowbrook Hall and saw how well children’s parties went, and through a mix of all their ideas, Sugarbuzz was born. They celebrated their one-year anniversary this past summer.
In addition to being party central for children’s parties, Sugarbuzz also offers a small gift shop with children’s gift, candy and Webkinz. They offer free gift wrapping for anything that is purchased in the store.
With the holidays approaching, Sugarbuzz is also getting into the holiday spirit and hosting a Lunch with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 9.
The event, which runs from 1-3:30 p.m., will feature pizza, a holiday dessert, a personal visit with Santa and a gift, along with a holiday goodie bag, dancing and karaoke in the Disco Ballroom with Buzz, and a chocolate fountain for all to enjoy.
