With additions in tow, doctor says medical bldg. doing well

The Bald Mountain Regional Medical Complex & Surgical Center will not be changing names anytime soon.
Dr. Kevin Robertson, who owns the 58,000-square foot building squashed rumors last week of his intention to sell the facility.
‘There is a lot of interest in medical centers,? he said of why the rumors may have started. ‘These are one of the best and safest investments right now.?
Robertson said he is thrilled with the direction of the Lapeer Road building, which added a surgical center last spring.
He moved his HealthFirst Medical Center, an urgent care practice, to the building in 2003, and the facility has been adding tenants ever since.
Crittenton Hospital Medical Center and its partners helped open a 12,000-square foot surgical center on the building’s main floor in April.
‘They’re seeing more and more patients every day,? Roberston said.
As for HealthFirst, Robertson noted they saw almost 2,500 patients last month alone.
‘We had our best December on record,? he said. ‘The building is doing very well.?
The building also offers a dental practice, a pharmacy and diagnostic imaging, among other things.
St. Joseph Mercy Oakland opened an internal medicine and pediatrics office there last spring, as well.
