The Lake Orion Board of Education elected their new officers for the 2008-2009 school year last week.
Board President Jim Weidman decided not to continue in his position, due to additional work responsibilities.
‘Thank you for your efforts, your work and the opportunity to work with you in this role,? Weidman said at the meeting. ‘I look forward to continuing to do so, wearing a different hat, and we’ll continue to move forward together as a group.?
‘It’s a great group, and we’ll continue to accomplish great things,? he added.
Board Trustee Bill Walters was nominated and selected for the position as president, and Vice President Mary Jo Burchart will continue in her role, as will Secretary Tina Peterson and Treasurer Janet Wolverton.
