Lake Orion girls? varsity soccer was on fire this week, closing out each game with a shutout.
Nothing seems to get past the team.
The girls started off the state playoffs against Waterford Kettering with an 8-0 win.
The Dragons? scores came from Devon Moore, Taylor Tremonti, Shannon Inglis, Jamie Tasco, Kelsey Galuardi, Julianne Boyle and Lauren Prainito.
Niki Read had several assists along with Allegra Recknagel. Allysa Mason was the goalie for this game.
For the second playoff, the girls played on opponent turf against Holly.
Read and Galuardi scored the first two goals of the game. Boyle, Jessica LaBond and Moore finished the game with a 5-0 win.
On Saturday, May 30, the Lady Dragons played the district championship game against Grand Blanc.
The scoreboard displayed zeros for both teams at halftime.
In the second half, Galuardi, Kelsie Hopper, Tremonti and Read scored goals to finish off their opponents and, in turn, brought the District Championship to the hands of the Lake Orion Dragons.
Hailey Redd conducted all the risky plays that got to the net, and she helped the team record their 19th shutout of the season on Saturday.
‘The season has gone just like the Grand Blanc game so far. Orion is fast, tough and skilled. Most teams have trouble with the combination of talent,? Coach Ken Snage said.
The Lady Dragons? record is 19-0-3 for the season.
Next, the girls move on to the regional playoffs against number three in the Michigan Division I poll, Troy Athens High School.
