When the weigh station on I-75 is open, Oakland County Sheriff Deputy Jason Koeteles knows he is in for a busy day.
Koeteles works in Independence Township patrolling the streets for truckers who may be breaking the law.
“If the weigh station is open and they are driving through the township because they are avoiding the weigh station,” he said. “Truckers will exit I-75 on Baldwin Road and head west through Clarkston.”
He also cautions drivers to never pull out in front of big trucks because they may not have proper working equipment or they may be carrying a heavy load and be unable to stop in time….
