Tonja Brice, Fran Hotchkiss, and Robin Loughlin all work at the Brandon Township Public Library, and were nominated to do the ‘Ice Bucket Challenge? to benefit the ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Association. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord and is eventually fatal for those who suffer from it. The Ice Bucket Challenge has been drenching the nation through social media and as of presstime, was closing in on nearly $100 million raised to fight ALS.
