Impact weekend

Planning is underway for Clarkston Davisburg Community Impact Weekend, April 29-30 and Nov. 4-5.
Sponsors Clarkston Community Church, Great Lakes Ace Hardware, My Habitat Clarkston, Neiman’s Family Market, Waypoint Church, Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, and Independence Township Parks and Recreation are searching for projects for qualified low-income families and seniors, local veterans and their families, and non-profit service projects.

Software updates

Clerk Barbara Pallotta is leading an effort to implement a township-wide content management system and transfer of online documents.
The Independence Township Board voted, Feb. 21, to accept a proposal by Hyland Software, Inc. for $93,360. The company will help the township implement OnBase, which will become the new Enterprise Content Management System for the township.
The board accepted a proposal from Johnston & Anderson for up to $1,000 to reformat online documents. The project will save the township $400 a month, which it had been paying to maintain documents in a previous system.

Clarkston Chiefs

The Clarkston Chiefs Youth Football and Cheerleading program invites you to come out and learn about them as they get ready for the 2017 season.
The new parent information meeting will be at The Fountains, 6060 Maybee Road, on March 8 at 7 p.m.
