The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of larceny at the Big Boy Restaurant on Baldwin Road on Dec. 8.
According to an OCSD report, a 29-year-old man, identified as the restaurant’s afternoon manager, said that the previous day’s night manager, a female, had reported to him that the Big Boy statue was missing.
There were no witnesses to the taking of the statute, which is valued at $2,000. The statue was bolted down on cement sidewalk.
