Students and parents at Webber Elementary School recently celebrated a family fun night at the completion of another successful Adopt-A-Family project. For 10 years, school families have been bringing in bags of Christmas gifts to share with others less fortunate.
This year, 250 bags crowded the hallways of the school. Webber has adopted nine FISH families and two Lake Orion families. Half of the gifts will be donated to HAVEN.
During the evening, visitors to the school got a chance to taste food donated by area restaurants, play bingo, work on crafts, have their picture taken with Santa Claus and check out a book fair, a holiday shop and cultural display tables.
