The Lake Orion High School Varsity Volleyball Team reached the semi-finals of the 10-team Imlay City Invitational on Dec. 13.
Coach Mike Hatch said the team’s good showing was thanks to the setting of Sarah Papke and Nichole Woityra, the back row passing of Stephanie Keteyian and Kelsey Stout, and the spiking of Kristin Larsen, Kindsey Randazzo, Catie Fosmoen and Aubrey Dyl.
The team had two wins over Berkley, both 17-15, on Dec. 15, making their record 4-1 and 1-0 in OAA II.
The Dragons were led by the serving of Melissa Marriott, who was 13-for-14 serving with eight points. Randazzo had 31 spikes and six kills.
