Underclassmen cross country runners competed in the Bloomer 9th/10th Invitational before the fall season closed, Oct. 21.
The boys team finished in seventh place with 204.
Freshman Henry Poploskie led the pack as he finished in 30th place in the time of 18:51.96. The top seven runners also included sophomore Nolan Puffer finishing in 34th place in the time of 18:57.29; sophomore Drew Kuczera, 54th, 19:55.62; sophomore Hunter Bogar, 83rd, 21:09.65; freshman Aiden Rosser, 94th, 21:51.77; freshman Ryan Patria, 130th, 23:23.73; and freshman Jake Roth, 134th, 23:26.12.
Lake Orion finished in first place with 28 points; Farmington, second, 65; Stoney Creek, third, 88; Rochester Adams, fourth, 113; Rochester, fifth, 153; Royal Oak, sixth, 176; Berkley, eighth, 224; Troy, tenth, 226; and Beverly Hills Groves, 11th, 283.
The girls finished in ninth place with 215 points during the meet.
Sophomore Crysa Gasiorowski led the pack as she finished in 21st place, in the time of 22:27.10. The top seven runners also included freshman Annelise Lemieux finishing in 41st place in the time of 23:33.4; freshman Maya Brown, 51st, 24:05.93; freshman Brooke Hodgins, 60th, 24:40.76; sophomore Madie Carpentier, 115th, 28:17.46; sophomore Melody Lebert, 116th, 28:19.18; and freshman Elke Roeser, 199th, 28:30.10.
Rochester finished in first place with 63 points; Rochester Adams, second, 70; Stoney Creek and Troy, third, 97; Lake Orion, fifth, 104; Beverly Hills Groves, sixth, 105; Royal Oak, seventh, 204; Birmingham Seaholm, eighth, 205; and Berkley, tenth, 307.
