Authors bring tales to Clarkston

Students in Clarkston learned about the art of storytelling directly from the storytellers themselves.
Presented by Spring into Reading, three authors visited Clarkston Schools and the Springfield Township Library. Each visited differnt grades and shared their life expereiences with students.
Jim Aylesworth, a retired first-grade teacher, authored more than 25 picture books and visited K-2 students throughout the district.
Deborah Morris, author of the ‘Real Kids, Real Adventures? series, rode her Harley-Davidson motorcycle all the way from Texas to Michigan to share the story that inspired her to become a writer with student in grades 3-5.
Award-winning author Neal Shusterman has written for television, movies and books in several different genres. Shusterman visited students in grades 6-9.
