Blackhawks kickers stay on top of league

Nine out of ten games, the Blackhawks soccer team has scored first.
‘The only time we haven’t been the first to score was when we played against Fenton,? said Coach Phil Kimmel. ‘That ended up being a game we tied.?
With high standards, the Blackhawks are working hard to meet their goal of winning a league championship.
The current record in the Metro League for the boys is 7-0-1, and overall their record is 11-1-2.
The Blackhawks played against Lapeer East last week, winning the game 1-0. Anthony Dubay scored the goal within the first minute with an assist from Nick Bognar. ‘The game against Lapeer East was pretty up and down,? said Kimmel.
‘Weather played a part because it was raining and it made the game a bit harder because of the field conditions.?
With a team that uses its assets wisely, bonds, and works on their strengths and weaknesses equally, the Blackhawks still have the mentality to work from game to game.
On Oct. 1, the Blackhawks scored early and often, defeating the Swartz Creek Dragons 5-0.
At 7 p.m., Oct 6 the Blackhawks will play Linden at home in a key league matchup.
