The Clarkston Boys Varsity Bowling team finished the weekend by bringing home not one but two team trophies.
“We had a big weekend,” said Coach Ken Clayton. “We are pretty excited – two tournaments, two trophies.”
They finished in fourth place during the Tri-County Invitational in Saturday, after qualifying seventh.
Clayton explained it was a Baker format and they threw quite a few big games during the day.
The girls varsity team qualified in 15th, making it through the first round of eliminations.
Both teams bowled in the Walled Lake Eliminator tournament on Sunday. The boys team finished in third place. Cale Herzenstiel had the tenth highest series for the boys with 642. The girls team made it to the final eight before they lost.
Hannah Turk had the fifth highest game with a 223 and the third highest series with a 607.
“We are looking forward to big things this week,” said Clayton. “We have two meets – Southfield A&T and Birmingham – both in our division.”
