Fireworks show still needs your help

You’ve seen it while driving along M-24 in Lake Orion.
Now the fireworks thermometer has made its way to The Review (see this week’s print editon for more).
The show must go on, and this new feature (which will run from now until the fundraising goal is met) will keep you informed on how much fundraising remains.
After a successful breakfast fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings on Sunday, the Lake Orion Fireworks Association is 30-percent to their goal.
LOFA Treasurer Laureen Krause said the association extends their gratitude to Buffalo Wild Wings as well as Hollywood Market, CJ’s Lakeside Grill and The Hamlin Pub for their donations.
Upcoming fundraisers include a pig roast at Hamlin Pub (featuring a blues band) on June 21 from 4-6 p.m., and a boat club breakfast (with help from Sagebrush Cantina and Christi’s Bar and Grill) from 9 a.m. to noon on June 22. For more events, look for the thermometer in next week’s issue.
‘We hope to have everything raised by the fourth,? Krause said, noting if they don’t reach the goal, the show will be adjusted accordingly.
Those interested in sending donations by mail can do so by sending a check to the Lake Orion Fireworks Association at 1520 S. Lapeer Road, Suite 104, Lake Orion, MI? 48360.
