Goodrich’s volleyball team will not be repeating as Genesee Area Conference Red Division champions.
However, the Martians still finished in the upper half of the division after the Feb. 28 league tournament at Goodrich. Goodrich finished with a 10-6 record in league play, and is currently 17-22-3 overall.
Mt. Morris won the league championship, while Byron finished second.
The Martians went 3-2 at the league tournament. They defeated Lake Fenton 15-13, 15-6; lost to Byron 11-15, 7-15; defeated LakeVille 18-16, 16-18, 15-13; defeated Lake Fenton 15-6, 12-15, 16-14; and lost to Byron 10-15, 15-8, 0-15.
