Joyce Irene Grundy was born in Clarkston, Mich., on Dec. 15, 1928. Joyce was the youngest of seven children and was the last surviving child.
She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Nov. 28, 2016, in San Clemente, Calif. Joyce was preceded in death by her son Jimmy (1960) and is survived by her children: daughter Kay (Wyn) Holmes, son Craig (Viviana) Tersigni, stepson Ray (Joy) Grundy, and stepdaughter Cheryl Vallad. She is succeeded by 8 grandchildren (Wade, Lori, Jason, Mark, Michelle, Wyn, Leanne and Wesley) and 16 great grandchildren (Jessica, Bryan, Kristin, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Justin, Wyatt, Lexi, Rachel, Megan, Jenna, Joshua, Naomi, Katie, Charlie and Henry).
Joyce is also survived by loving nieces and nephews: Billy (Carole) Shriber, Robert (Judy) Lawson, Sharon (Hal) Smith, Sheila (Steve) Dutcher, Bud (Kate) Lawson, Carol (Don) Watson and Alice Keagy.
Joyce began working at Clarkston State Bank at the age of 17 and worked there for 21 years until she moved to California in 1967.
Joyce had two great loves in her life, John Tersigni and Raymond Grundy, who both preceded her in death. Joyce loved greatly, shared her love freely, and was loved and cherished by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at Our Lady Of Fatima Catholic Church in San Clemente, California, on The Feast of the Immaculate Conception Thursday, December 8, 2016, at 1 PM.
