Mountaineer Update for June 1, 2022

Clarkston Everest Collegiate competed in the Catholic High School Championship – Cardinal Division at Lutheran North High School, May 25.
The boys track and field team finished in second place with 117 points.
Finishing in the top eight in the track events were: in the 100-yard dash, John Morrison in third place in the time of 11.93; Antonio Santoro, fourth, 11.94; Kevin Cronin, fifth, 11.96; 200-meter dash, Santoro, third, 24.40; Charles Reichert, sixth, 24.63; 400-meter dash, Ravi Iyer, first, 55.56; 110-meter hurdles, Gavin Ryeson, 16.10; Thomas Williams, third, 17.44; Michael Wojciechowski, sixth, 19.31; 300-meter hurdles, Ryeson, first, 42.91; and Williams, fourth, 46.33.
The 400-meter relay team of Morrison, Cronin, Santoro and Ryeson finished in second place in the time of 45.52.
The 800-meter relay team of Morrison, Reichert, Sawyer Arbogast, Dominic Engle finished in second place in the time of 1:41.90.
Finishing in the top eight in the field events were: in shot put, Jacob Jackson in first place with the distance of 42-07; Morrison, second, 42-06; discus, Jacob Jackson, sixth, 105-04; long jump, Reichert, fifth, 16-07.25; and Wojciechowski, sixth, 16-07.
Madison Heights Bishop Foley finished in first place out of ten teams with 135 points.
The girls team finished in seventh place with 54 points.
Finishing in the top eight in the track events were: in the 100-meter dash, Kathleen Thibodeau in third place in the time of 13.71; Madelyn Krappmann, fourth, 13.76; 200-meter dash, Thibodeau, fifth, 28.77; Krappmann, sixth, 28.92; 400-meter dash, Sally McGrath, seventh, 1:10.47; 100-meter hurdles, Stephanie Suran, third, 18.77; and 300-meter hurdles, Suran, seventh, 56.75.
The 400-meter relay team of Krappmann, Thibodeau, Suran and Jessie Burns finished in second place in the time of 54.42.
Finishing in the top eight in field events were: in discus, McGrath in third place with the distance of 77-02; Krappmann, fifth, 13-10; and Erin Booms, sixth, 13-08.25.
Bishop Foley finished in first place out of 11 teams with 119 points.
Clarkston Everest Collegiate Varsity Baseball opened last week with a 8-2 loss against Southfield Christian, May 23. They posted a 8-3 and 1-1 tie against Lake Fenton, May 24.
Everest Collegiate-Oakland Christian Softball beat Plymouth Christian on May 21, 18-8; and Our Lady of the Lakes on May 23, 9-6.
Everest Collegiate Boys Varsity Golf finished in fourth place out of 21 teams in the Top 50 Tour. Remy Stalcup finished with 68, four under par. Parker Stalcup finished with 76; Will Pennanen, 86; and Johnny Nedwick, 91.
Clarkston Everest Collegiate Girls Varsity Soccer had a bye for their first round of districts. They played the semifinal game against Oakland Christian on Tuesday. The district championship is Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Oakland Christian.
