Clarkston Everest Collegiate Girls Cross Country finished in second place at their regional meet at Webberville on Friday.
They finished with a total of 77 points to qualify for the MHSAA Division 4 Girls Cross Country State Championship this Saturday.
Sophomore Erica Walker led the Mountaineers finishing in fifth place in the time of 20:36.97. Senior Alyse Felix finished in 14th place in the time of 21:49.86; junior Eve Herrgott, 17th, 22:08.29; senior Stephanie Suran, 18th, 22:37.09; sophomore Olivia Leahy, 24th, 23:18.81; sophomore Natalie Cross, 27th, 23:30.44; and senior Jessie Burns, 45th, 24:41.49.
Whitmore Lake finished in first place for Region 33 championship with 28 points. They also head to the state finals at Michigan International Speedway.
Everest finished the Catholic High School League C/D Championships in third place with 71 points, Oct. 21.
Walker led the team finishing in seventh place in the time of 22:14.9; Felix, 14th, 22:28.7; Herrgott, 18th, 22:58.7; Suran, 19th, 23:07.7; Cross, 30th, 24:32.5; Leahy, 34th, 25:11.8; and Burns, 36th, 26:14.8.
Ann Arbor Greenhills finished in first place with 49 points; Royal Oak Shrine, second, 50; Allen Park Cabrini, fourth, 94; Madison Heights Bishop Foley, fifth, 106; and Austin Catholic, sixth, 153.

Everest Varsity Football defeated Flint Beecher in the first round of playoffs on Saturday, 71-34.
The Mountaineers finished the first quarter with a 20-14 lead. They kept the momentum going scoring 15 points in the second quarter with two touchdowns from Gavin Harris while defense kept Beecher from scoring.
They head to Marine City Cardinal Mooney on Friday for the MHSAA Division 8 Region 4, District 1 Championship.

Everest Varsity Volleyball finished the regular season with a 3-0 win over Foley at Home, Oct. 26.
They played Bloomfield Hills Academy of the Sacred Heart in the first round of Division 4 District 122 playoffs on Tuesday. They winner plays the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 3, 7 p.m. The district final is on Saturday at 1 p.m. All games are at Auburn Hills Oakland Christian.

Everest Boys Varsity Soccer finished the season with a 2-0 loss to Plymouth Christian in the MHSAA Division 4, Regional 15 semifinal.
They qualified after winning their fourth consecutive district title with a 2-1 win over Genesee Christian, Oct. 20. Isaac and Mark Cross scored the two goals in the Division 4, District 60 championship.
They won the district semifinal against Oakland Christian, 4-0. Mark Cross had two goals. TJ Abraham and Luke Walker each had one goal. Isaac Cross had two assists. Zachary Felix had one assist.
