The Orion Township Fire Department will host two annual events in association with Fire Prevention Week.
The Fire Apparatus Display will be held on Sunday, Oct. 7 from 1-4 p.m. behind Township Hall.
The event features displays from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department and Hazardous Materials Response Team, Star EMS, Survival Flight and area fire departments.
There will be plenty of demonstrations and fire gear displays, as well as child ID kits and fire truck building kits from Home Depot.
Refreshments will be served by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Firefighters Association.
The traditional Fire Station Open House will be held on Sunday, Oct. 14 from 1-4 p.m. at each of the township’s four stations.
All stations will have working fire truck and rescue displays, refreshments and gifts for youngsters and movies, brochures and activity books for fire safety and prevention.
Station #1 is located at 93 S. Anderson (next to Children’s Park), Station #2 is located at 200 E. Silverbell (east of M-24), Station #3 is located at 3365 Gregory (west of Baldwin) and Station #4 is located at 465 Baldwin (north of Clarkston Road).
