The Clarkston Girls Varsity Bowling team finished in fifth place at the MHSAA Division 1 Region 6 competition on Saturday at Century Bowl. They finished with 2,426 after six Bakers and two games.
For Singles, Sophomore Abby Stephens qualified for the state championship, finishing in fourth place with a total of 1,019 after six games. Stephens had a high game of 189.
Junior Katie Stephens finished in the top 25 with 21st place with a total of 870. She had a high game of 179.
The Clarkston Boys Varsity Bowling team finished in eighth place at the MHSAA Division 1 Region 6 competition, finishing with total of 2,833.
For Singles, Rio Westlund tied for 12th place with 1,113 after six games. Westlund had a high game of 214.
The top teams from each region and top seven individuals move on to the MHSAA Division 1 Bowling State Championship at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park this Friday and Saturday.
The Clarkston Competitive Cheer team wrapped the season, finishing in 11th place at the MHSAA Division 1 Regional 1 meet at Hartland on Saturday, with a total of 763.32 points. -Wendi Price
