Brandon Twp.- Ashley Wolfe, 15, a Brandon High School Freshman has been missing since Oct. 22 and police say she may be staying with friends.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Detective Arnie Terrell, Brandon Schools police liaison is working with Ashley’s family and Waterford Police Department to find the girl who may be in either the Waterford and Ortonville area.
Police say Ashley had lived with her grandparents in the township for a few years until new rules including a curfew had upset her, possibly prompting her to run away.
‘She went to live with her father, Charles Wolfe when she left,? said Susan, Ashley’s grandmother. ‘I think she was in the area for the first few weeks then left for Waterford when we started putting posters up with her picture.?
Susan added that Ashley has lots of friends in the area and it’s a good chance that’s where she is now.
‘She’s into the Gothic look and wears rather dark clothing,? said Charles Wolfe, Ashley’s father. ‘I know she frequents teen clubs, she may hang out there.?
‘I want everyone to keep an eye out for her. We’re worried sick about her, I just want Ashley to know we love her and her family misses her very much and we want her home.?
Terrell says Ashley may also have been picked up by a school bus driver on a route that didn’t know her.
‘Runaways typically stay with friends until they run out of friends to stay with. If (Ashley) asks to stay’don’t let her, call police,? said Terrell. ‘Teachers should speak with students and come forward if they know anything regarding Ashley’s whereabouts.?
Ashley Wolfe is 4 feet 10 inches tall, has black hair which may have been dyed strawberry- blonde, brown eyes, and may have blue contacts that change her eye color. She also carries a pink Cheshire cat backpack and her left eye brow is pierced. If you have any information regarding Ashley call (248) 240-1072; or (248) 343-3908 or (248) 627-3856.
