Clarkston students made a splash as they played in the First Annual Dragon Invitational Water Polo Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
The Wolves teamed up with Lake Orion in a co-op water polo team and played seven games in their first tournament, opening the season with a 4-3 record.
“We have several goal in mind when entering this co-op,” explained Kelli Herrick, Clarkston/Lake Orion coordinator. “Not only to help Clarkston build a water polo team of their own within the next few years, but we want to promote the knowledge and participation of water polo throughout Oakland County.”
The team includes five players from Clarkston: seniors Ryan Ludwa, Jack Storey; junior Owen Brown; sophomore Adam Ehrenberger; and freshman Richie Majewski.
The team opened the week against Troy on Monday and Walled Lake on Tuesday.
They host Grand Blanc at Lake Orion High School on Wednesday, Sept. 11 and host Walled Lake on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Both games start at 6 p.m.
