The Lake Orion girls golf team narrowly missed out on a trip to the state finals, placing fourth at their regional at Riverwood Resort outside of Mt. Pleasant.
Grand Blanc ran away with the title shooting a 343. The Dragons 388 total was 12 strokes behind third place Clarkston.
Juniors Darby Peters and Britney Hamilton both qualified as individuals. Peters shot an 83, while Hamilton carded an 87. The state finals are June 2 & 3 in East Lansing.
The team also competed at the OAA I Tournament at Pine Trace in Pontiac on May 16, finishing in a second-place tie with Clarkston.
For LO, Hamilton placed second overall with an 81, and Peters tied for third at 85.
