The Clarkston Girls Varsity Field Hockey team posted a 3-0 win over Edsel Ford, Aug. 22.
The goals came from Emma Sheldon, Kiana Colon and Addison Gale to help the girls to their first win.
“The girls played very well and as a team,” said Eric D’Autremont, head coach. “They had great hustle and supported each other.”
The team hosts their home opener against Pinckney on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 7 p.m.

The Clarkston Girls Varsity Golf team hit the green at Kensington Metropark for the Sentech Services Girls Golf tournament and finished in fourth place out of 20 teams with a 344, Aug. 20.
Claudia Sampson led the pack with a ninth place finish with a par of 78. Mia Gebrowsky finished with a 88 and Ashley Liles and Payton Greenlee both had a 89.
They finished in second place at the Troy Invite at Twin Lakes Golf Club out of 12 teams with a score of 341, Aug. 23.
Liles finished in third place with a par of 81 and Sampson finished in sixth place with a 78. Greenlee had a par of 88 and Lauren Hartline had a 94.

The Clarkston Boys and Girls Cross Country teams open their season at the Milford Invite this Thursday at Kensington Metropark.
The boys start their first set of races with the freshmen at 4:30 p.m., girls start their races at 5 p.m.
They head to the OAA Red Jamboree No. 1 at Troy High School, Sept. 5.
