Clarkston Girls Varsity Basketball went 1-1 last week against OAA Red foes.
They opened the week against Lake Orion with a 55-54 win, Jan. 30. Freshman Kaelyn Kaul shot the winning free throw. Seniors Kayla Luchenbach and Molly Nicholson led the team with 16 points each. Sophomore Taylor Heaton scored 11 points.
The Wolves lost to Southfield Arts & Technology last Thursday, 47-36. Senior Maddie Beck led with 14 points and four steals. Nicholson scored 11 points and had 11 rebounds.
They opened the week against Macomb Dakota and host North Farmington on Friday. JV begins at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.

The Clarkston Boys Varsity Bowling team won the Tri-County Invitational tournament at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Jan. 27. They led the field in the qualifying round, then defeated Anchor Bay and Sterling Heights Stevenson in the first two rounds of match play.
They beat powerhouses Farmington Harrison and Davison in the semi-final and final rounds.
The boys JV team went to the Academy of the Sacred Heart JV tournament Saturday and took second place, Jan. 27. Drew Clayton lead all bowlers with a 585 sreies, winning singles honors.
Both teams beat Ferndale on Jan. 30 as the varsity team won 29-1 and the JV team won 30-0.
