Junior Hannah Turk finished in fifth place during MHSAA Girls Individual Bowling Regionals at Richmond Bowl on Saturday.
She bowled a total of 1,226 after three games in the Division 1, Region 2 meet. She heads to the state finals this Friday and Saturday at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park.
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Bowling team also had three more individuals place in the top 50 with sophomore Angelina Stowers in 25th place with a total of 1,053; junior Ashley Elinski, 42nd place, 985; and senior Abigail Davis, 43rd place, 983.
The girls finished in fifth place during team meet on Friday with a total of 3,500 after six Bakers and three games. Oxford finished in first place with 4,202; Flushing, second place, 4,133; and Lake Orion, third place, 4129, to move on to the state finals.
The Clarkston Boys Varsity Bowling team had five place in the top 50 during the individual regional meet.
Sophomore Patrick McLetchie finished in 25th place with a total of 1,168 after six games; senior Jacob Corey, 37th place, 1,089; junior Cale Herzenstiel, 42nd place, 1,081; senior Kyle Hanscak, 45th place, 1,068; and junior Timothy O’Daniel, 50th place, 1,046.
The boys finished the team meet in seventh place with a total of 3,785.
Oxford finished in first place with 4,202; Lapeer, second place, 4,133; and Midland, third place, 4,129 to move on to the state finals.

The Clarkston Varsity Wrestling team, rated No. 8, finished the season with a 63-6 loss to Detroit Catholic Central, No. 1, in the quarterfinals of the state meet on Friday.
Cole Wiegers pinned Kamron Davenport in the 125-pound weight class at the 5:26 mark.
The Wolves send eight to the MHSAA Division 1 Wrestling Individual State Finals at Ford Field this Friday and Saturday.
