JACKSON — Clarkston Boys Cross Country finished in third place during the Jackson Invitational at Ella Sharpe Park on Saturday.
The varsity runners finished with 175 points for third place out of 29 teams in the Orange Division.
Senior Bryce Nowik led the Wolves finishing in 16th place in the time of 15:59.7. Junior Cayden DeGrendel finished in 30th place in the time of 16:22.1; junior Joshua Ellingsworth, 37th, 16:27.4; sophomore Ryan Barnes, 44th, 16:36.5; senior Andrew Floros, 51st, 16:42.6; junior Braden Waechter, 101st, 17:11.5; junior Kent Wilson, 103rd, 17:12.9; sophomore Trent Logan, 127th, 17:32.6; and senior Matthew Boor, 151st, 17:55.
The top five teams were Ann Arbor Pioneer in first place with 138 points; Troy, second, 141; White Lake Lakeland, fourth, 181; and Macomb Dakota, fifth, 198.
The varsity runners for the Clarkston Girls Cross Country team scored 318 points, finishing in 11th place out of 29 teams in the Orange Division.
Senior Anna Reineck led the pack, finishing in 35th place in the time of 19:26.1; freshman Avery DeGrendel, 47th, 19:40.1; sophomore Sydney Fischer, 75th, 20:19.2; freshman Kendal Russette, 128th, 21:25.9; senior Morgan Poploskie, 178th, 22:31.2; freshman Paityn Sweet, 180th, 22:34.5; and senior Macy McNaughton, 188th, 22:44.3.
The top five teams were Romeo in first place with 57 points; Ann Arbor Pioneer, second, 111; Brighton, third, 121; Northville, fourth, 162; and Saline, fifth, 167.
The Wolves opened the week at the second OAA Red Jamboree. They compete in the Hanson’s Invitational on Saturday.
