Recipients of the Oxford Women’s Club Scholarships were recently recognized at a social given by Club members. OHS students Lauren Cribb, Alicia Kramer, Katie Carroll, Amanda Traylor and Melody Bailey (not pictured) were each awarded $1,000 scholarships.
The Oxford Women’s Club raises money throughout the year primarily for the scholarship awards.
The money is raised mainly through their annual fashion show held at Addison Oaks in October. This year, a wine and beer tasting party was added.
The group also sells fresh Christmas roping and wreaths as well as participating in a fund-raising effort at Wojo’s Greenhouse. Anyone interested in joining the Oxford Women’s Club is invited to call Darlene Toliver, Vice President/Program Chairman, at (248) 628-1796.
