Jane M. “Marie” Phillips, of Howell, formerly of Clarkston, born January 26, 1933 to James and Mary Matthews, passed away on July 15, 2022 at the age of 89.
Mother of Kim (Nancy) Phillips, grandma of Holly Phillips, Shane (Joany) Phillips, Garrett (Sarah) Phillips, Andrea Gamblin, and Thomas (Jenna) Forst, great-grandma of Lawson and Lydia Phillips, Mallory and Jameson Gamblin, Jasper, Raelee, and Zach Forst, Alora and Zoe Lowry, mother-in-law of Cathy (Mike) Forst, sister-in-law of Mary Matthews, special aunt of Brandon (Genevieve) Matthews and Regina Combs, also many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceded in death by her son Bob Phillips and siblings James Matthews, Jerry Matthews, Wanda Morrow, and Linda Matthews.
Marie retired from General Motors and was a longtime member of Mt Zion Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, crocheting & crafting.
A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later date. Private burial Lakeview Cemetery, Clarkston.
