The Clarkston High School Marching Band returned from a week of band camp at the Lost Valley Retreat Center in Gaylord at the end of August.
The band was there for a week learning the field show for this year, “Pandora’s Box,” to perform at football games and state competitions. The weather was great all week and it was a great getaway for the students and staff prior to school starting.
The last two years of band camp had to be held at Clarkston High School.
The kids started early in the morning and practiced until 9 p.m. at night. They were able to bond and make close friends, all while learning almost all of this year’s field show.
The band has approximately 95 students ranging from grades 8-12.
