Clarkston Everest Collegiate Varsity Football improved their record with a 43-13 win in their homecoming game on Friday over Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett.
The win puts the Mountaineers in second place in the Catholic League Intersectional 2 Division.
Everest is now 3-2 overall as the team heads to Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School on Saturday. Kick off is 1 p.m.

Clarkston Everest Collegiate Boys Varsity Soccer defeated Cardinal Mooney Catholic at home last Thursday, 5-1.
Luke Walker led the team with three goals. Mark Cross and Edgar Sanchez scored one goal each.
The night was also a highlight for John Haezebrouck, head coach as he won his 100th game at Everest.
The Mountaineers opened this week against Austin. They host Shrine on Thursday.
The rescheduled game from Tuesday, September 20 will determine the top of the Catholic High School League.

Everest Collegiate Girls Cross Country finished in third place at the DDC Soter-Crane Invite on Belle Isle on September 21.
Sophomore Erica Walker led the team finishing in sixth place in the time of 22:59.1. Junior Eve Herrgott finished in 23rd place in the time of 24:59.9; senior Alyse Felix, 25th, 25:06.8; sophomore Natalie Cross, 30th, 25:38.3; senior Stephanie Suran, 31st 25:39; sophomore Olivia Leahy, 35th, 26:38.5; sophomore Maria Saad, 46th, 28:44.7; and junior Erin Carr, 49th, 29:45.1.
Dearborn Divine Child finished in first place with 19 points. Royal Oak Shrine finished in second place with 54 points; Everest, third, 87; Troy Athens, fourth, 109; Madison Heights Bishop Foley, fifth, 149; Cranbrook Kingswood, sixth, 166; Wyandotte Roosevelt, seventh, 191; and Clawson, eighth, 200.
The Mountaineers head to the CHSL All-Division Jamboree today (Wednesday, September 28) at Hudson Hills Metropark.
