Gary Metzger of The Print Shop, assisted by Don Brose, formerly of Brose Electric Shop, celebrated the 27th year of the celebration of the University of Michigan-Michigan State football game with an outdoor get-together of fun and positive ribbing of each other outdoors between the two schools, on Oct. 28.
It’s a public event, and anyone who attended received free food as everyone talked about the game, and whatever other things that were on people’s minds.
The event was free, but many dropped a few dollars in a bucket to support the Clarkston Area Optimist Club.
The club then turned over $800 to Renaissance High School.
Renaissance Principal Gary Bigger said, “I would like to express my gratitude to Gary Metzger, Don Brose, and the Clarkston Area Optimist Club for their generosity to Renaissance High School by providing funds to purchase equipment for our lunchtime and after-school programs.
“It is with community organization support that we are able to assist students with social-emotional well-being.”
It was a great event, and Metzger and Brose are looking forward to the next event in 2023.
In the game itself, the Wolverines beat the Spartans 29-7 in Ann Arbor at Michigan Stadium.
