Elyse Pflieger, of Clarkston, recently participated in University of Findlay (Ohio) English Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association shows.
The shows were held at the University of Findlay’s James L. Child Equestrian Complex and Lake Erie College’s George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center in Mentor, Ohio.
Pflieger’s results in UF’s Show: Day 1 – fifth place in Novice (Section B). Day 2 – first place in Novice (Section A). Her results in the Lake Erie College Show: Day 1 – first place in Novice (Section A). Day 2 – fifth place in Novice.
UF competed against Albion, Bowling Green, Kent State, Lake Erie, Thiel, Tiffin, Akron, and Toledo at both shows.
Findlay won High Point Team both days at the UF show with more than a 60-point region lead. UF also won Reserve High Point Team on Day 1 and High Point Team on Day 2 at Lake Erie’s show, resulting in winning the region and qualifying the team for Zones.

Gavin Donchez, of Clarkston, was named to the University of Mississippi’s Fall 2022 Honor Roll lists.
Donchez was named to the Chancellor’s Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00.

Catherine Bisio, of Clarkston, performed in the University of Findlay’s Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble concert, “Danzon,” March 12, in the Winebrenner Building at the Ohio campus.
Both bands performed music from around the world and throughout history inspired by dance, under the direction of Wes King, director of bands at UF, located in Findlay, Ohio.
