Mary J. Ronk, of Clarkston, passed away on Aug. 18, 2023 at the age of 94.
She was born March 20, 1929 in Spokane, Wash., to George and Melba Keelean.
Preceded in death by her husband Frank “Tink” Ronk, her daughter Kathryn Vachon, and daughter-in-law Melissa (Wilkinson) Ronk, by her brother Mark (late Janette) Keelean, George (Patricia) Keelean, Robert (late Margaret) Keelean, Janet (Lewis) (late “Spike”) Masters and Frank (late Mona) Keelean.
Mother of Steve (Anne) Ronk and Rob Ronk, grandma of Andrea (Aaron) Jaecks, Rob (Sara) Ronk, Tommy (Amanda) Ronk, Drew, Emma and Maryn, great-grandma of Steven, Clayton, McKenzie, Charlotte, Elyse, Emarie, and Levi.
Mary was well known in the Clarkston community, having met many raising her family in the area and while working at the Clarkston/Pontiac State Bank. She enjoyed dancing (with Tink), cooking, knitting and bowling and will be remembered for being a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend and for attending all those grandkids’ games and dance recitals.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery, Clarkston.
Cremation services entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.
Memorials may be made to Visiting Angels or Heart to Heart Hospice.
