Winter wine tasting a sweet success

Orion Art Center board member, Lisa Cummins and her husband Jim welcomed 60 wine and beer enthusiasts to their home on Jan. 5, as a benefit for the OAC.
Eric Adams of Bommarito’s Bakery and Wine of St. Clair Shores was on hand with wines ranging in price from $3.50 to $80 per bottle.
The Rochester Mills Brewing Company provided beer for the evening, and guests were treated to an outstanding table of gourmet edibles provided by Victoria’s Delights Restaurant and Catering in Oxford.
‘The Cummins? beautiful Lake Orion home was a perfect setting for this event and a good time was had by all,? said OAC Director Reggie Harrison. ‘We are grateful to Lisa and Jim Cummins and to everyone who helped to make the evening so special.?
Proceeds from the event will go towards matching funds for a grant from the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA), helping the center to continue to bring a variety of artful services to the community.
The OAC, a non profit arts organization, is located at 115 S. Anderson Street in downtown Lake Orion, offers classes, exhibits, competitions and much more.
Their next social event is the 18th annual Snowflake Ball on Saturday, Feb. 10 at Indianwood Country Club.
