The Lake Orion Baptist School Lions fell twice in conference play last week to drop to 6-8 overall and 2-7 in the FBAC.
Their week began with a visit from the Faith Christian Patriots of Clinton Township on Jan. 23. The Patriots prevailed 49-42.
The Lions grabbed a 13-12 lead after the first quarter, but lost leading scorer and rebounder Matt Dobis to foul trouble early in the second quarter.
The Patriots took advantage by outscoring the Lions by 10 points in the quarter, to grab a nine-point halftime edge.
After scoring just four points in the second quarter, the Lions responded with 18 in the third, but the Patriots hung tough, scoring 18 of their own.
Erick Dewar led the Lions with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Dobis added 11 points and 12 rebounds before fouling out in the fourth quarter.
The Lions traveled to Troy last Friday to take on the undefeated Bethany Christian Bruins for the second time this season.
After falling behind early, the Lions cut the gap to just four points early in the third quarter.
But a 16-4 run to close out the third proved to be too much to overcome as the Bruins claimed a 60-46 victory.
Ben Cuyler had 17 points to lead the Lions, while Dobis added 10 points, 16 rebounds, five steals and five blocks.
The Lions host the Faith Home-Schoolers on Thursday.
