Discover the wild in your own backyard at the Moose Tree Nature Preserve’s free open house on Saturday, Sept. 27 from noon to 4 p.m.
The preserve, located at 3191 W. Clarkston Road next to Webber Elementary School, is a hands-on nature center where kids can learn about the outdoors. Once only a resource for students in Lake Orion, the center now offers many programs for the public, including Trail-Ready Backpacks, Adopt Our Animals and Moose Tree Wildlife, and Knee High Naturalists.
There will be crafts, games and door prizes.
Be sure to check back next week to meet Moose Tree’s new naturalist, Jamie Rustowicz.
